Attorney Bolger named to 2010 Virginia Business magazine list of Elite Lawyers Virginia legislature moving on amendments to the state Homestead Act which would allow debtors to retain more equity in motor vehicles, and firearms. Consumer bankruptcy attorney group proposes formula for reducing number of homes that are underwater. Would require person to be in Chapter 13, and allow dollar for dollar reduction in principal balance of mortgages until property no longer under water.
